Water is a priority on a safari because where there’s water, there’s most likely wildlife. Water, much of the time dictates the movement of animals, which is often impacted by seasonality. The largest of beasts to the smallest of creatures – all gather for a drink at rivers, pans and waterholes. This is why all our safari camps and lodges are set near important water sources, as they bring life to all creatures.

Our Mana Pools Riverside camps, Nyamatusi Camp, Nyamatusi Mahogany and Zambezi Expeditions are set on the edge of the mighty Zambezi River overlooking the captivating escarpment, which frames this incredible area. This gives guests the access to head out on a canoe safari to explore the area from a different perspective.
Kanga Camp
Kanga Camp is a unique Mana Pools experience, and it’s set on a private concession within the park, the home of the Armchair Safari. Water is pumped into the pan to offer relief to the animals who are journeying to the riverside for a drink. The activity and presence the camp has had in the area has put a stop to poaching. A large variety of animals can be seen side by side here
