Our 2025 hosted impact safari is an unforgettable 10-night safari for 12 guests in 6 luxury tents that covers 4 breathtaking African Bush Camps destinations while raising funds for our local Foundation projects.

This unique safari blends the best of our camps in Botswana, Zambia, and Zimbabwe into one authentic African experience.

Hosted by Koinonia Baloyi, our Foundation’s Communications & Fundraising Officer, you will discover a new perspective on travel. You will spend time in the community, learning about our foundation projects in the area, and volunteering for some of our projects.

Khwai Leadwood

Botswana

✈️: Maun International Airport to Khwai Community Area

Set within the Okavango Delta’s community-run Khwai Concession, this beautiful camp is tucked under the trees on the edge of the Khwai River. 

The elegantly designed camp hosts six standard tents and one family unit, maintaining an intimate and exclusive wilderness experience. The camp effortlessly bridges the gap between luxury accommodation and the feeling of being in the great African outdoors. Woven baskets and beaded décor, along with modern elements, create an authentic contemporary African style. 

We will visit the Khwai Community Village during your stay at Khwai Leadwood. The excursion includes a guided tour of Khwai Pre-school, which will provide a greater understanding of our work in the area. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to volunteer at the school’s nutrition program during the day.

Thorntree River Lodge

Zambia

✈️: Khwai Community Area to Kasane International Airport

Thorntree River Lodge is set in Zambia’s Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park. Drawing inspiration from local customs and culture, it is a modern contemporary design with tented roof structures to maintain the feel of authentic Africa.  

The lodge boasts 12 twin rooms with 2 sets of interleading units. Each unit has its own indoor and outdoor bathrooms, as well as a luxurious private plunge pool. The main lodge consists of a lounge with an open dining area, where the fine dining experience of African cuisine will come to life. A gym and spa overlook the mighty Zambezi River, and there is a small library with WIFI for our guests’ convenience. 

We will visit the Maunga Village during your stay at Thorntree River Lodge. The excursion includes guided tours of Maunga Primary School and Maunga Clinic, which will provide a greater understanding of our work in the area. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to volunteer at the school’s nutrition program during the day.

Nyamatusi Camp

Zimbabwe

🚐: Road transfer from Thorntree River Lodge to Victoria Falls International Airport.

✈️: Victoria Falls International Airport to Mana Main Airstrip.

Nyamatusi Camp is situated on the banks of the renowned Zambezi River and is a representation of the surrounding environment. The camp is reminiscent of days gone by and is inspired by nature. Nyamatusi comprises of 6 spacious and well-appointed tents, each with its own private deck and plunge pool, offering remote views overlooking the Zambezi.  

Watch the drama of nature play out before your eyes on game drives or thrilling canoeing safaris. Fishing on the Zambezi River (catch and release only) and birding safaris are highlights here. All these activities are included in your stay and led by qualified and passionate guides keen to share their knowledge and love of the bush with you. 

We will visit the Mana Pools Ranger Program during your stay at Nyamatusi Camp. The excursion includes a guided tour of the anti-poaching base to learn more about our conservation work in the area.

Bumi Hills Safari Lodge

Zimbabwe

✈️: Fly via charter flight from Mana Main Airstrip to Bumi Airstrip.

Bumi Hills Safari Lodge boasts one of Africa’s finest wilderness locations with an elevated position on a range of remote hills overlooking the vastness of Lake Kariba. The safari lodge has a total of 10 rooms, all with views over Lake Kariba. 

The safari lodge has a total of 10 rooms, all with views over Lake Kariba. All rooms have balconies and uninhibited views over Lake Kariba. Taking centre stage is the beautiful infinity pool that seems to blend endlessly into the lake horizon. The pool is surrounded by intimate wine and dining terraces on different levels. The lodge interiors have been beautifully finished in a fusion of contemporary western and African styles. 

We will visit the Mola Village during your stay at Bumi Hills Safari Lodge. The excursion includes a game drive out of the wildlife area, a visit to Mangwara Primary School, the Lion Boma Project, and partnering with the community to build a boma. You will receive a tour of the projects to learn more about our work in the area. Don’t forget to bring along some cash should you wish to do some shopping in the village.
