With five luxury tents and one luxury family tent, Somalisa Expeditions offers an intimate safari experience by combining luxury and comfort with the beauty of the African bush. Each luxury tent is set atop a wooden deck, raised above the ground to provide breathtaking views of the surroundings. Their interior is equipped with a king size bed draped in mosquito netting (the smaller room of the luxury family tent has two single beds with mosquito netting), an indoor shower, in-room charging facilities, and a wooden writing desk.

Amazing Lodge. These people understand customer service and the business of lodges. The most accommodating Staff. The host, Star was superb they could not do more for us to love the service and the lodge. Very accommodating and the Chef was incredible. Best animal viewing in all of Zimbabwe. Also our guide Moore made us have a great time. This guy was there to work and make sure we got to see as much as possible. I would love to stay at this camp again.
Our 3-night stay was magical and wonderful. Everybody was professional and sweet but I’d like to especially thank guide Rob and housekeeper Fortunate – you’re the best! Also, shout out to Brenda, Nice, Present, & Isiah. Miss all already but will never forget you. Would love to come back some day. The elephant pool and approach to an elephant in the bush on foot experiences were amazing. Plentiful other wildlife and wilderness explored, also.
Beautiful camp with very kind and experienced staff. Guides are top of the market. Stunning view and elephants drinking just a few meters from the plunge pool. A bar with a view, great menu and lovely tents with a bed you to stay in if Nature wasn’t calling. Perfect located camp with all wildlife just around the corner.

This exclusive romantic retreat accommodates two guests in a sumptuous king-size bed elevated in a wooden treehouse. The bed, crafted from repurposed rough-hewn Acacia wood, is draped in billowing mosquito netting. Deck chairs are provided so that you can enjoy drinks at sunset and a coffee and tea station at dawn. Built within an Acacia tree and overlooking the watering hole, the treehouse is accessed via a wooden staircase.

The Mambanje community garden is empowering and enabling the community to grow and produce crops that they can harvest to feed their families and sell to generate economic activity. The garden has 50 beds 3x3m that can support 50 families.
Thandanani, which means “love each other,” is a local sewing group run by women in the community of Dete, in Hwange. They make beautiful African print placemats, bags, robes, travel wallets, and clothes. Everything they make is unique and made with love. Items are available for sale at the ABC trading post in our camps.
ABCF is supporting the Mambanje community in Hwange. We renovated the classrooms and teachers accommodation, installed solar power, boreholes, and launched a nutrition program at the school.
