There are hundreds of reasons to go on an African safari. Whether you have the great migration on your bucket list or just want to get to see a pride of lions or a herd of elephants on a game drive, You have the opportunity to take your family on a adventure they’ll treasure for years to come.
Take it from the experts: Africa never disappoints.
We’ve listed a few top reasons why you should consider planning your African safari today!
An African safari is a great way to get away from it all, work, school, and traffic, just to mention a few. It’s a full change of scenery and a chance to see and experience things that are extremely different from what we’re used to in the big city. With the strains of contemporary life far away, traveling through Africa at a leisurely pace is a great opportunity to reconnect with nature.

Africa has a abundance of wildlife. A Botswana safari in particular will expose you to the largest concentration of elephants you’ve ever seen (depending on where you’re lodging), among other species. You’ll be able to go on game drives, track animals on walking safaris, and, in some areas, even enjoy a mokoro excursion. Take it from us, there is nothing like seeing a lion in person for the very first time.
Sit back and unwind while the details of your African vacation are handled by our travel consultants. This is why it is important that you book a safari package through a reputable and knowledgeable travel company. On a safari with African Bush Camps, we plan your trip down to the finest detail. All your preferences are taken into account, including planning to keep your children entertained. Yes, you read correctly, we cater to your children too.
Take in breath-taking views of the natural and historical wonders of the world! Images of the spectacular landscapes, people, and animals you encounter on an African safari are sure to be treasured for years to come. Make sure you pack your camera. Our guides are quite knowledgeable when it comes to capturing your perfect memories in the perfect spot.

If you’re looking to get the most out of your stay in Africa, you’ll need a safari guide to help you. At African Bush Camps, we have professional guides, who are knowledgeable, great story tellers, and passionate about wildlife and conservation. Our guides will give you a greater understanding of the cultures and sights you visit on your trip.

Become a part of the global community! African safaris can be booked in groups, but it’s also possible to travel alone and meet new people from all over the world at our camps. We include cultural visits as part of your itinerary. You will have the opportunity to visit communities where we run sustainable projects in and around our camps.

This was truly a 5+ star bucket list experience. We were treated with the utmost respect, generosity and kindness by every staff member. We appreciated the understated luxury, attention to detail, magnificent lodge decor, the on-the-Zambezi River setting, the phenomenal food, guides, trip to the epic Vic Falls and optional activities...
Julia K, March 2024Managing 23 travelers from California, Maine, Massachusetts, and Montana was difficult. Finding a camp in the Okavango was also difficult. Fortunately, I made contact with Vanessa Stanley, and she was able to assist in finding two camps that were proximal to each other, thus allowing a group of 23 to have meals and free time together and still be at a bush camp. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
