The education programs run by The African Bush Camps Foundation aim to empower learners to thrive. By focusing on infrastructure improvements, nutrition programs, and providing learning materials to schools, the foundation is actively creating an environment at the schools that is conducive to learning and teaching. The goal is to ensure that there is an improvement in the quality of learning, which will in turn contribute to an increase in attendance, progression, and pass rate.

Many schools do not have proper resources. Some learners in these areas have to share one textbook with four other learners, and in some cases, learners miss school because they lack stationery like pens.
With your help, 2023 was a year of impact for our learners in Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Zimbabwe through our stationery and nutrition program drives.

Last year, you supported our Active Day event to raise funds for our education programs and got behind Karl’s cycle challenge to raise funds for the Mambanje Primary School renovations. Together we have made a significant difference and impact in the lives of over 1000 learners.
We are determined to do more in 2024. This year, we have put together the”Move for Education” initiative. Our goal is to equip 2000 learners across all our schools. This support includes the provision of stationary packs and daily meals.

We invite you to join us as we ‘Move For Education’ on the 8th of December.
We can all make a meaningful contribution, so regardless of your chosen activity, please mark December 8th as the day to make it count and join us as we Move for Education.
We are committed to making a long-lasting impact in the communities and wildlife areas surrounding our camps, by focusing on projects that support and enable communities and natural landscapes to thrive and co-exist together. We focus on making an impact through collaborating with the community to implement meaningful and sustainable solutions.
The African Bush Camps Foundation identifies needs, skills, and resources within communities and forges meaningful partnerships with local stakeholders, creating opportunities to empower the communities and their members to become self-sustaining and independent, whilst also promoting conservation and community spirit.

This was truly a 5+ star bucket list experience. We were treated with the utmost respect, generosity and kindness by every staff member. We appreciated the understated luxury, attention to detail, magnificent lodge decor, the on-the-Zambezi River setting, the phenomenal food, guides, trip to the epic Vic Falls and optional activities...
Julia K, March 2024Managing 23 travelers from California, Maine, Massachusetts, and Montana was difficult. Finding a camp in the Okavango was also difficult. Fortunately, I made contact with Vanessa Stanley, and she was able to assist in finding two camps that were proximal to each other, thus allowing a group of 23 to have meals and free time together and still be at a bush camp. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
