News, industry insight, community projects, and offers from the African Bush Camps family
Approaching Linyanti by helicopter, we were greeted by a vast grassland with its aesthetic color palette of warm yellow, lemon yellow, apple green, and moss green, where water flowed and glittered in the sunlight. It was the sheer beauty that relieved all my tiredness and made me eager to explore this place.
African Bush Camps’ Linyanti sanctuary is an adventurer’s haven in Botswana’s wilderness, and one of the best places to safari in Africa. Positioned between the Greater Chobe National Park and the Okavango Delta, this untamed paradise teems with wildlife intricately connected through the vibrant Linyanti Channel.
On my latest African safari through Botswana and Zimbabwe, I had this feeling over and over again. With so much going on in the world – war, division, destruction – safari is a constant source of joy, peace and wonder for me. The African bush has become my happy place.
Our Head of Partnerships at ABC, Karl Parkinson, recently visited two of our most popular family safari camps with his wife, daughter and teen sons, on their first “fly-in” family safari in Southern Africa. He shared their experiences with us in great detail.
Guides create a link between nature and you, as a guest. They have a unique way of interpreting the language of the mysterious African bush and translating that for you as they guide you through your African safari experience.
Lolebezi embodies everything you want in a safari. As a property, it effortlessly blends two qualities: elegance and adventure. Its’ sophisticated and luxurious design is peppered with playful colours and thoughtful touches. And although its’ look and décor are utterly gorgeous, in typical ABC fashion, it still feels rustic, comfortable, and inviting. like you can make yourself at home, despite being in the faraway reaches of Zambia.

This was truly a 5+ star bucket list experience. We were treated with the utmost respect, generosity and kindness by every staff member. We appreciated the understated luxury, attention to detail, magnificent lodge decor, the on-the-Zambezi River setting, the phenomenal food, guides, trip to the epic Vic Falls and optional activities...
Julia K, March 2024Managing 23 travelers from California, Maine, Massachusetts, and Montana was difficult. Finding a camp in the Okavango was also difficult. Fortunately, I made contact with Vanessa Stanley, and she was able to assist in finding two camps that were proximal to each other, thus allowing a group of 23 to have meals and free time together and still be at a bush camp. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
