The ABC Way and Sharing and Conserving Africa, Together
We define the ABC Way as sharing and conserving Africa, Together. It is taking true custodianship of the areas, the wildlife, and the people around our camps that we have been privileged enough to have under our care. This is the fundamental purpose behind the vision of our camps and our foundation and it’s bringing others along with us on the journey.
The ABC Way is the DNA and attitude of our business. It is how we can make a more authentic connection with our guests to enhance their stay with us. It is how we can make an impact as a business in the communities near our camps while conserving the national parks where we operate.
The ABC Way is encompassed in three core pillars: our guest experience, our foundation, and our people. Through the guest experience, we aim to create ‘WOW moments’ by making guests feel at home, and a part of our family when they are staying with us, and we go out of our way to know our guests so we can tailor the experience to suit their needs and preferences. Our people are passionate, striving for excellence, quality, safety and caring for the land and its people. Through our foundation, we educate, develop, and empower communities and conserve the land.
The foundation has been making a difference in Botswana, Zimbabwe, And Zambia Since 2006. The Foundation’s mission is to make a long-lasting impact in the communities and wildlife areas surrounding our camps and lodges by focusing on projects that support and enable communities, natural landscapes, and wildlife to thrive and co-exist together.
We have projects running in Botswana, Zambia, and Zimbabwe that are actively addressing challenges that include unemployment, food scarcity, education and school infrastructure, healthcare, wildlife poaching, human-wildlife co-existence, and preserving natural resources.
