The Lady Jacqueline.

At Bumi Hills Safari Lodge, join us aboard Lady Jacqueline to discover the unparalleled beauty of Lake Kariba. Cruise through the waters of the world’s largest reservoir and spot unique wildlife on a safari experience unlike any other. 

Choose from two unique experiences: Select either a half-day cruise with a delightful lunch or extend your adventure with an overnight retreat. 

Lady Jacqueline can comfortably host up to eight guests. On the lower level, you’ll find two spacious queen-size bedrooms, each boasting its own en-suite bathroom. There are also two cozy bunk rooms equipped with fans – perfect for our younger visitors. An additional bathroom is conveniently situated in the air-conditioned corridor, ensuring ample facilities for all guests. 

Make the most of Lady Jacqueline’s on-board amenities such as a refreshing plunge pool and a comfortable air-conditioned main lounge cabin. For optimal animal viewing, head to the top deck – also ideal for sundowners, reading, and card games.

Lunch and Cruise Experience  

Enjoy an unforgettable excursion with Lady Jacqueline, featuring a delightful on-board lunch whilst you cruise the lake.  

Departure 

Lady Jacqueline usually departs at 11am and returns around 3pm. The boat’s crew consists of a captain, a private chef, a deckhand, and a professional guide from Bumi Hills Safari Lodge. 

Activities  

Spend the day cruising the shimmering waters of Lake Kariba. Enjoy the use of the tender boat, ideal for close up game viewing and fishing excursions. Relax and revel in Lady Jacqueline’s splendor and exclusivity.  

Information & Rates:

  • The lunch cruise experience is included in the rate for international
  • The rate for SADC guests is $175 per adult and $87.50 per child aged between 12 and 15 years
  • The experience requires a minimum two-night stay at Bumi Hills Safari Lodge to ensure that your cruise day does not coincide with a travel.

Overnight Cruise and Sleep-Out Experience  

Discover Lady Jacqueline and Lake Kariba via an immersive sleep-out experience.  

Departure  

Lady Jacqueline usually departs at 3pm and returns the following morning around 10:30am. The boat’s crew consists of a captain, a private chef, a deckhand, and a professional guide from Bumi Hills Safari Lodge. 

Activities 

Enjoy a walking safari in Matusadona National Park and explore the shoreline from Lady Jacqueline’s tender boat – ideal for game viewing, sunset cruises, and fishing excursions. Otherwise, sit back, relax, and enjoy the luxury of Lady Jacqueline.

Information & Rates:

  • This experience is included in the rate for international.
  • The rate for SADC guests is t375 per adult and $187.50 per child aged between 12 and 15 years.
  • The experience requires a minimum three-night stay at Bumi Hills Safari Lodge to ensure that your cruise day does not coincide with a travel.
  • When booking, guests must choose either the sleepout or the lunch experience, as only one option can be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • For safety reasons, we cannot accommodate children under the age of 12 aboard Lady Jacqueline.
  • Weather Considerations:Please note, in conditions of wind, rain, or an approaching storm, the boat may not depart. Even with mild wind, expect slight rolling motions due to the waves.
