African Bush Camps: Redefining Luxury Safari with Purpose and Connection
Founded by Zimbabwean entrepreneur Beks Ndlovu, African Bush Camps (ABC) is reshaping the future of luxury safaris across Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Botswana. Rather than focusing solely on wildlife sightings or opulent amenities, ABC designs experiences that immerse guests in the land, culture, and community. From Nyamatusi Camp on the Zambezi River to Bumi Hills River Lodge overlooking Lake Kariba, each camp blends luxury with a deep respect for the environment, offering walking safaris, kayaking, river cruises, and intimate wildlife encounters.
The magic of ABC lies in its people: guides and staff from local communities provide intimate knowledge of the bush, share family stories, and offer meaningful cultural exchange. Guests witness wildlife, participate in local traditions, and engage with communities supported by the African Bush Camps Foundation, creating authentic, transformative safari experiences.
With Beks Ndlovu’s vision at its core, African Bush Camps proves that true luxury is not separation from the land, but a connection to it—where every safari leaves a lasting impact on guests and the people whose land they explore.

This was truly a 5+ star bucket list experience. We were treated with the utmost respect, generosity and kindness by every staff member. We appreciated the understated luxury, attention to detail, magnificent lodge decor, the on-the-Zambezi River setting, the phenomenal food, guides, trip to the epic Vic Falls and optional activities...
Julia K, March 2024Managing 23 travelers from California, Maine, Massachusetts, and Montana was difficult. Finding a camp in the Okavango was also difficult. Fortunately, I made contact with Vanessa Stanley, and she was able to assist in finding two camps that were proximal to each other, thus allowing a group of 23 to have meals and free time together and still be at a bush camp. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
