African Bush Camps Foundation and Natural Selection Foundation Invest in Digital Education at Khwai Primary School

African Bush Camps Foundation and The Natural Selection Foundation are proud to announce the development of a new computer lab at Khwai Primary School, marking a significant step forward in expanding access to digital learning for young people in the Khwai community.

Situated within the Khwai landscape, where Natural Selection’s Khwai Private Reserve and African Bush Camps Experiences operate alongside neighboring communities, the investment reflects a shared belief that tourism can create meaningful impact beyond conservation, strengthening opportunities for future generations.

Established in 2021, Khwai Primary School was created to provide local children with access to education closer to home, reducing the need for families to send children more than 400 kilometers away to distant boarding schools. While the school has transformed access to education within the village, infrastructure limitations have continued to impact the learning environment.

African Bush Camps Foundation has been a longstanding partner of Khwai Primary School, supporting the development of the school’s learning environment through investments in infrastructure, educational resources, teacher support, nutrition and conservation education.

In addition to supporting the development of the new computer lab, the African Bush Camps Foundation and the Natural Selection Foundation have jointly invested in the renovation and improvement of key facilities at Khwai Primary School, including the kitchen, hall, classrooms and other essential infrastructure. These collaborative efforts build on a longstanding commitment to strengthening the school’s learning environment and expanding opportunities for learners in the Khwai community.

The new computer lab introduces learners to technology and digital skills that are increasingly essential for further education, future employment, and meaningful participation in an evolving world. Located near Natural Selection’s lodges in the Khwai Private Reserve and African Bush Camps Experiences operating within the region, the investment reflects a shared commitment to ensuring that tourism delivers lasting benefits for neighboring communities as well as conservation.
