Elephant Heaven – Somalisa Camp

This was the third of our 3 countries’ African Bush Camp safari trip, and what a fantastic way to end our dream tour. The camp was extremely comfortable, and staffed by a fantastic team who could not do enough for the guests. Our meals were first class as was the wine. However, the main reason for booking the tour was for the safaris, and my goodness with our first-class safari guide Dorphas we were not disappointed. We were privileged to see up-close the ‘big-five‘, as well as many other animals. The camp is situated opposite a water hole, and every day it is visited by herds of elephants. 
Highlights were many and included seeing a lioness and her cubs, as well as the many elephants at various water holes. Watching the sun go down beside a water hole from a platform up a tree and drinking G&T’s was also a memory that will last a lifetime! 
One other highlight was a surprise birthday cake baked by the camp chef to celebrate my wife’s 60th birthday. Thank you to all the team, including the delightful and hilarious ‘Tubs’, who all made our stay an unforgettable experience. 
They have a saying at these camps that the visitors arrive as guests and leave as family, and this certainly was what my wife and I experienced. 
We have no hesitation in recommending this fantastic camp.

Lolebezi

Wow, Wow, Wow – a masterclass in luxury hospitality! We have just returned from a two-week trip through Zambia & Botswana. We started our trip with 3 nights at Lolebezi and there are genuinely not enough superlatives to describe just how wonderful it was! From start to finish, it was a dream come true! Everything from the stylish accommodation and communal spaces, to the beautiful natural setting along the Zambezi River, to the quality of the food & drink offering, to the expertise and enthusiasm of the guides and to the genuine warmth and friendliness of the staff it was a true masterclass in luxury hospitality! It was faultless. There were thoughtful little touches everywhere we went and our time at Lolebezi will forever shine bright in our memories. Thank you for the most magical stay! 

Don’t even hesitate to book at Bumi!

This is one of the best safari camps you can ever go to! I say one of as I have been to 3 different African Bush Camps and couldn’t fault a single one. The staff, the staff are the sort of people who love their work so much and treat you like family. The hospitality of the staff from the waiters, chefs, cleaners, and guides is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Everyone is so kind, they instantly make you feel at home which makes it SO hard to leave! Seeing all the amazing animals feels like a bonus on top of how amazing the camps are. The attention to detail is unmatched, I noticed this was something a lot of people commented on – it truly is amazing and specially catered to each guest. For instance, our guide knew how much I loved the snacks we had earlier that day and that he packed them on our evening game drive! It’s those little things in amongst the spectacular camps themselves that leave you with that warm fuzzy feeling! I always learned so much from the guides at ABC too, at Bumi we were so lucky to see the “Bumi Boys” being the local lions so many times as the guides were so knowledgeable of their movements, and how to approach them. I couldn’t recommend Bumi enough or any of ABC’s camps to be honest, they are a home away from home and the type of luxury you can hardly fathom being so deep in the bush! Thank you again to the amazing team, I’ll be dreaming of Bumi for years to come!
