Between all of our guides, we have a combination of 240 years of qualified professional guiding experience. Its their passion that is at the core of Africa Bush Camps.
Tawanda started out as an auto-mechanic turned bush-mechanic, but then “ saw light” in 2005 after falling in love with the wilderness while on a game drive. He switched the spanners for the Binos and qualified as a professional guide for the Mosi-O-tunya park leading walking safaris and game drives, before joining African Bush Camps. His favourite activities include tracking Rhinos on foot, birding and animal behaviour.
Phillip grew up in the South Province of Zambia and knows the ecosystem, flora and fauna intimately from training in O-tunya National Park in Livingstone.
Quentino decided to become a guide when he saw the thrilling adventure involved in whitewater rafting. After qualifying as a guide, Quintino has spent over 20 happy years on the river and in the bush, sharing the joy of an African safari with guests from all over the world.
Inspired by the fishing and canoeing tourism near his village, Ezekiel began his guide training at Ilombe Island. With years of experience as a fishing and canoeing guide at Zambezi Expeditions, Ezekiel loves nothing more than the feeling of freedom when taking his guests on water safaris.
Obby started training at Tongabezi Lodge in Livingstone, before moving across to the Lower Zambezi and eventually to South Africa as an overland guide. Bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge on the African wilderness, Obby has been with us for just over a year.

World Travel Awards Winner 2023
This was truly a 5+ star bucket list experience. We were treated with the utmost respect, generosity and kindness by every staff member. We appreciated the understated luxury, attention to detail, magnificent lodge decor, the on-the-Zambezi River setting, the phenomenal food, guides, trip to the epic Vic Falls and optional activities...
Julia K, March 2024Managing 23 travelers from California, Maine, Massachusetts, and Montana was difficult. Finding a camp in the Okavango was also difficult. Fortunately, I made contact with Vanessa Stanley, and she was able to assist in finding two camps that were proximal to each other, thus allowing a group of 23 to have meals and free time together and still be at a bush camp. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
