Embracing sustainability, the Camp (which is run entirely on solar power and features a water purification system that recycles 80% of its water) proudly holds the first GOLD Green Tourism Certification to be awarded in Zimbabwe.

Intimate, luxurious, and refined tent camp in the heart of Hwange Park.

Zimbabwe allows for a more intimate discovery of its wildlife and flora within its parks, which are among the most beautiful but less frequented. Somalisa Camp perfectly illustrates this approach.

The service is very attentive, the food unexpectedly high-quality given the isolation, with a real chef in charge and a nice list of local wines.

The quantity and variety of animals present in the park is impressive: elephants, lions, giraffes, gnus, various antelopes, zebras….You can get as close as 2 or 3 meters.

Meals are served at a communal table, which allows you to interact with other participants. A special mention for Sam, the camp chef, who makes this establishment a uniquely outstanding stop.

    Absolutely Fabulous Bush Experience.

We went to Somalisa Camp as a couple for 4 nights. From start to finish this camp and staff were absolutely phenomenal. The arrival was epic!! All the staff are there to sing and greet you.

The food was absolutely fantastic! The rooms are stunning and beautifully decorated.

Being woken up to fresh coffee/tea delivered through the Butler’s hutch was such treat.

The wildlife was amazing, we had Elephants every day at the dam in front of the camp. As well as lion come to the camp area too. We watched them from the deck.

    A great safari and stay!

A warm welcome after a torrential arrival! Pure happiness and kindness. Our guide, Rob, competent and charming. I have never seen so many lions in my life, and we were lucky to see a family of wild dogs. It’s done, we are going back this year…
