Embracing sustainability, the Camp (which is run entirely on solar power and features a water purification system that recycles 80% of its water) proudly holds the first GOLD Green Tourism Certification to be awarded in Zimbabwe.

    Leopards, dogs, and mojitos

We only had two nights at Somalisa Camp, but I wish we had more. It is a beautiful camp, the rooms feel very luxurious and everything at the camp was wonderful! It was great to be inside the park, and African Bush Camps has a great concession in Hwange NP.

Over last night, the team from Somalisa set up a beautiful sundowner spot, complete with snacks and mojitos (a special request). On our final morning when we could have slept in, I decided to go on a drive and it was the best drive of the whole stay, we saw a female leopard again and she had her cub, and then we got to see a large pack of dogs on a fresh impala kill, all on the camp’s private concession.

One of the most memorable and special few days of our life… What an incredible Camp! Wilderness but luxurious.

We have just returned from a fantastic three-night break at Somalisa main camp… We were made to feel like family from the moment we arrived and we had “pinch yourself” moments the entire time.

The hospitality and thoughtfulness of the team was unparalleled. The setting within the park is truly special and the accommodation was surprisingly luxurious and the beds were incredibly comfortable and we slept so well…

We came away feeling that we had made friends that we would want to return to visit in the future… This is a very special Camp, and we would thoroughly recommend it for anyone wishing to Travel to Hwange Park.
