At Linyanti Ebony, watch as the wild intertwines with timeless luxury to create a classic family safari.

Activities

At Linyanti Ebony, experience outstanding game drives, night drives, and walking safaris. Explore the shallow waterways of the Linyanti Wetlands on a traditional mokoro safari, guided by local polers. Have your camera ready as you take to the skies on a scenic, doors-off helicopter ride to witness the incredible aerial landscapes of Chobe National Park. The Park also ranks among Africa’s top birding destinations, largely due to the Chobe River’s role in supporting a wide variety of migratory and resident species. Children are warmly welcomed at this family-friendly experience, with our Ngwana Club offering bespoke safari adventures and other fun activities for our younger guests.

    Wonderful Bush Camp Experience

We stayed at the Linyanti Ebony camp. The flight in was fantastic and supplied a great view of the area. The landscape is amazing as you have the denser bushy and wooded area and then a definite divide to the wetland open plain. So beautiful.

The camp is beautifully kept and the staff very attentive. The tented rooms are beautiful and so bright and airy when all the side flaps are up.

Meals are taken with other guests and some staff which was nice to meet new people and ask questions about different cultures and countries.
Food was delicious and every effort was made to accommodate people with various dietary preferences.

The game drives were lovely and very informative as our guide Joe had a wealth of knowledge on the surrounding area as well as the animals and birds.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Linyanti. Thank you to all staff

Large Luxury “Tent” Overlooking Linyanti Marsh

Outstanding guide and food services were provided.
Tent was large, clean and comfortable. The tent was rather elegant.

Enjoyed brief nature walk with two guides. The walk was longer than an hour and included many explanatory stops about the fauna and flora. Our guide, Tshidi was a joy – knowledgeable, friendly and humorous. Wait staff were attentive and friendly.

Game drives were into private game reserves and the Chobe National Park. Plenty of game sightings including elephants, hippos, giraffes, zebras, lions, cape buffalos, crocodile, leopard tortoise, Marabou stocks and more. We often saw elephants and birds from the covered deck and tent windows.

Saw a group of over 300 zebras near the Saile airstrip, that was a very large dazzle.

    Perfect honeymoon spot!
Linyanti was the perfect place to start our honeymoon.
The tents are magical and provide views of huge groups of animals! On different days, we sat on our porch to watch elephants, zebras, baboons, and buffalo.
The game drives were exceptional and the service was the best ever! We loved it here.

Our Foundation Projects

Basket Weaving Project

The Vuche Vuche Basket Weaving Project aims to empower women from the local community through basket weaving. This initiative creates employment opportunities whilst displaying Botswana’s heritage and culture through beautiful crafts. Baskets are for sale at ABC trading posts, and guests can visit Vuche Vuche to learn basket weaving and experience traditional dances.

Primary School Disability Unit

Kachikau Primary School Disability unit currently accommodates about 32 students with disabilities from the villages in Chobe, Botswana. The unit provides schooling, accommodation, and daily meals for the learners. The school infrastructure was ill-equipped to support learners with special needs as it lacked basic infrastructures such as wheelchair ramps and paved walkways. This made it increasingly difficult for learners using a wheelchair to move around the school premises.

Female Guides Training

Women from communities in Botswana do not have access to the same career opportunities as safari guides, compared to their male counterparts. This career is still largely a male-dominated one, with little active investment, training, or skills development in female guides that would empower them to pursue their dreams and provide for their families. Linked to this dynamic, there is also a scarcity of job opportunities currently available for female guides in camps in the area.
