A friend had an elephant peeking at her during an afternoon shower – up close to nature. I was envious. The tents are on a pond, so an “armchair” safari is possible from your deck-elephants use the pond regularly and animals wander through the camp.
Truly an uplifting experience. My husband and I were wonderfully comfortable- the tents are charming, amenities thoughtful and bed and bedding at least king-size, cozy and restful.
I am vegan, and we were well fed, conscientiously cared for by staff and treated to the spectacular sights of African game drives with knowledgeable guides. Words can’t describe the incredible experience

The camp was out first experience of luxury tent camping in the African bush of Zimbabwe. The whole experience exceeded expectations.
The staff were warm and welcoming and became our friends almost instantly. The game drives with the guides were warding and fruitful and amazingly educational.
The location is remote with no other camps nearby so it is a very special place to be. Its a beautiful spot in camp and so well set up and run. No other vehicles out viewing wildlife so every experience feels unique.
The guides were wonderful – very knowledgeable and the staff took such good care of us at all times.
We live in Thailand where service, hotels and food are unmatched and you still exceeded our expectations!
The Vukani Group Project is a community of women who are making beautiful, handcrafted necklaces, bracelets, and napkin rings out of recycled magazines. This project takes items that we typically throw away and repurposes them into something beautiful. Items are for sale at the ABC trading post in our camp.
Khwai village has a population of approximately 400 BaBukakhwe (River Bushmen), the majority of which are from low-income households. The service delivery in this community is limited and faces challenges accessing education, health facilities and water and electricity connections. The community of Khwai was without a pre-school school in the area. Primary school learners would attend boarding schools out of the village in Maun and surrounding communities.
Thandanani, which means “love each other,” is a local sewing group run by women in the community of Dete, in Hwange. They make beautiful African print placemats, bags, robes, travel wallets, and clothes. Everything they make is unique and made with love. Items are for sale at the ABC trading post in our camp.
